Abstract

A field experiment was carried out to study the effect of foliar application with comptop on some growth and yield traits of wheat variety IPA 99.

The compound includes several nutritional minerals. Dissolving 5gm in 6 liter of water getting Zinc 3% , Fe 6% , Mn 3% , Cu 0.5% , Br 0.5% , Mo 0.1%. The concentrations were increased up to 45 gm in 6 liter of water applied with 100 Kg N in ha-1 + 100 Kg P ha-1 as top dressing.

Results showed that excluding leaf numbers , growth characters increased with increasing spray levels up to 20 gm in 6 liter of water. They were 59.2 cm , 42.83 cm2 plant-1 and 2.43 gm plant-1 respectively. Plants with the treatment 5 gm in 6 liter of water had the highest means of grains spike-1 , 100 gm seed weight , grain yield and biological yield. They were 83.2 , 19.13 cm , 4.93 ton ha-1 and 6.8 ton ha-1 respectively. However spraying the plants with 5 gm in 6 liter of water doubled the grain yield (4.93 ton ha-1) compared with non – treated plants (2.97 ton ha-1).
