صممت هذه الدراسة لوصف التغيرات النسيجية في قرن الرحم لدى النعاج العراقيات الحوامل وغير الحوامل. جمعت عينات من قرن الرحم لعشرين من النعاج المذبوحة من مجزرة كربلاء وقسمت إلى أربع مجموعات ، المجموعة الأولى مثلت النعاج غير الحوامل ، وكانت المجموعة الثانية تمثل النعاج الحوامل في المرحلة المبكرة من فترة الحمل (20 - 30) يومًا ، وكانت المجموعة 3 تمثل النعاج الحوامل في في المرحلة المتوسطة من فترة الحمل (60 - 90) يومًا ، كانت المجموعة 4 تمثل النعاج الحوامل في المرحلة المتأخرة من فترة الحمل (100 - 130) يومًا ، تم تحديد عمر الجنين عن طريق قياس طول رأس التاج. تم إصلاح العينات في 10 ٪ من الفورمالين ، وتم إجراء تقنية نسيجية روتينية وملطخة بالهيماتوكسيلين ويوزين. تم زيادة سمك بطانة الرحم للقرن الرحمي بشكل ملحوظ (p ≤ 0. 05) في النعاج الحوامل خاصة في المرحلة المتوسطة من الحمل ، انخفض العضل العضلي بشكل كبير (p ≥ 0.05) في المرحلة المتأخرة من الحمل بينما لم تكن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في محيط الرحم بين النعاج الحوامل وغير الحوامل. أظهر عدد وقطر الغدد البطانية أيضًا زيادة كبيرة (p ≤ 0.05) في النعاج الحوامل ، بينما انخفض في ظهيرة غير حامل وارتفاع ظهارة اللمعية بشكل كبير (p ≥ 0.05) مع تقدم الحمل ، وكذلك ظهارة غدية انخفض بشكل ملحوظ (P ≥ 0.05) في المرحلة المتوسطة من الحمل.
