Satisfaction Of Pregnant Women About Antenatal Care Services In Primary Health Care Centers in holly Kerbala City

Background:Pregnant women who attend ANC during pregnancy are more likely to use postnatal health care services after delivery.
Patients’ use of health care is affected by the quality of care, pregnant who are not satisfied with their providers may be less likely to continue with treatment or seek further services. Satisfied patients are continue using health care services more than the unsatisfied ones, comply with the care regimens,and maintain their relationships with specific health care providers.
Materials and Method: Descriptive study was conducted from January to October 2023 to assess satisfaction of pregnant women about ANC services among pregnant women in The Holly Kerbala City, Iraq. The sample was consisted of (400) women randomly selected from (4) Primary Health CareCenters (PHCC) that provide antenatal daily care services, the questionnaire was designed depended on previous studies to measure antenatal care services.
Results: According to the overall satisfaction level, the results show that 87.25% of the pregnant women were satisfied, whereas 12.75% were not satisfied.
In regard to association of the overall satisfaction level with the socio-demographic characteristics of pregnant women, the results concluded that there was highly significant difference in satisfaction level between the four PHCCs (p<0.001). Regarding education, pregnant women with college and higher education was significantly the lowest satisfaction level in relation to other educational levels (p=0.008). Also, pregnant women with rural residence were significantly the lowest satisfaction level in relation to urban or slum area (p<0.001).
Conclusion: The satisfaction of pregnant women about the services of the antenatal care were more than two-thirds of participant.
