A comparative study of hopelessness among married and unmarried students and their divorced and widowed peers at the University of Karbala
Abstract
The aim of the research is to identify a comparative study on the loss of hope among married and unmarried students and their divorced and widowed peers at the University of Karbala. The research was applied to (128) students, with (38 married males = 20 females = 18) and (26 divorced and widowed males = 14 females = 12) (64 unmarried males = 34 females = 30) male and female students. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher built a scale consisting of (30) paragraphs with a final form of (29) paragraphs. The results showed that the sample as a whole enjoyed a loss of hope, except for the unmarried sample, who enjoyed a decrease in loss of hope, and the highest percentage of loss of hope was in favor of females, and the highest percentage of classification was for divorced and widowed students.
