Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The manuscript should be in (English) only. Do not submit manuscripts in Arabic or other languages.
- Manuscripts submitted to the Kerbala International Journal of Management and Economics (KIJME) must adhere to strict originality standards. The similarity index for plagiarism, as measured by plagiarism detection tools, must not exceed 15%, including proper citation and referencing of all sources. Additionally, while the use of AI-generated content is permitted to enhance research or presentation, it must comply with ethical guidelines, and the similarity index for AI-generated content should not exceed 25%. Submissions that cannot meet these requirements will be subject to rejection. Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure their work is original and that AI tools are used responsibly and appropriately.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

Authors must strictly adhere to the formatting guidelines provided in the journal's official template document. Manuscripts must follow the template's specifications for font size, spacing, use of italics, and the placement of illustrations, figures, and tables within the text.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in immediate rejection of the manuscript by the editor without proceeding to peer review. Authors are advised to download and carefully follow the template document to ensure their submission meets the journal's standards. - The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- Article Processing Charges (APC) : Authors must pay the journal's Article Processing Charge of 100,000 IQD prior to submission. A copy of the payment receipt must be attached with the manuscript file. For foreign authors (Non-Iraqi) or one of authors not from Iraq, the paper will be exempt from APC currently.
- Similarity and AI Usage Thresholds, Plagiarism similarity index: Must not exceed 20%, and AI-generated content: Must not exceed 5%.
- Review Timeline: The peer review process may require more than one month to complete. Authors can expect an initial editorial decision within approximately two weeks of submission.
- Formatting Requirements : Manuscripts must adhere 100% to the journal's official template. Deviations from the template format may result in rejection.
- Manuscript Structure: All research articles must follow the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) to be forwarded to peer reviewers.
- Reference Style: All references must be formatted according to APA 7th edition guidelines. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or equivalent). It is better to make your paper references no less than 25.
- Compliance Policy : Non-compliance with any of the above guidelines will result in immediate rejection without further consideration.
- By accepting publication in this journal, the author(s) agree to transfer full copyright ownership of the submitted work to the journal. Upon acceptance, all rights, title, and interest in the manuscript shall become the exclusive property of the journal.

Copyright Transfer Agreement
By submitting a manuscript to this journal and upon its acceptance for publication, the author(s) agree to the following terms:
- Transfer of Copyright: The author(s) transfer full and exclusive copyright ownership of the manuscript to the journal, including all rights of reproduction, distribution, public display, public performance, and the creation of derivative works.
- Scope of Transfer: This transfer applies to the work in its entirety, in all languages, formats, and media (print, electronic, and any future formats).
- Effective Date: The copyright transfer becomes effective upon formal acceptance of the manuscript for publication.
- Author Retention: Authors may retain the right to use their work for personal, non-commercial purposes and academic teaching, subject to proper citation of the journal as the original source of publication.

The journal uses third-party services such as Crossref (for DOI registration) and plagiarism detection software. Only metadata required for verification is shared, in compliance with data privacy norms.
6. Cookies and Analytics
The journal’s OJS platform may use cookies for session management and usage analytics to improve user experience. These cookies do not collect personal data and can be disabled in your browser settings.
